Messenger and Chat Lock is a free app which allows you to put your private messaging programmes under lock and key in order to prevent anyone accessing them but you.
If you use things like Facebook's messenger app on your phone, then you may have noticed that it does not come with any way of making it secure other than by locking your phone. A similar problem exists with other popular messaging apps like WhatsApp. If you lend your phone to someone to look something up or to make a call, then they might be able to snoop on your private messages. Messenger Chat and Lock deals with this issue by allowing you to set a four-digit personal identification number (PIN) on these messaging apps. Once your PIN is set, only you can gain access to these apps, helping to maintain your privacy. Another handy feature is that you can set a timer so that you don't need to keep entering your PIN unless you leave your phone for a set amount of time. If your phone detects a wrongly entered PIN, then it will even take a snap so that you can detect who has been trying to gain access! If you are no good with PINS, then you can always set a privacy question in case you forget yours.
Privacy made easy?
Messenger and Chat Lock uses low resources and does exactly what it says it will, so there are few reasons not to recommend it if you want to keep all of your messages to yourself.
